Print, packaging, and handcrafted items

The final, or close-to-final, realization of a design is always satisfying. All the hard work has led to this thing that will be utilized by the client and continue forward.

Kit for Nike
I lasercut the &NIKE logo, created foam cutouts for the interior and applied book cloth to it, created the cards, buttons, and posters. This started only with the exterior box that had book cloth on it. I chatted in-person and at-length with a book cloth expert at his Berkeley store, where I purchased the cloth.
Starbucks leadership seeing tour guidebook
I worked with two other designers to create maps, notebooks, and buttons in-house for six different teams engaging in a small-business seeing tour in San Francisco.

Nike poster kit
This was my first project at SYPartners. I made the notched envelope and the folded posters.

Kaiser Permanente sprint kit prototype
This was a multi-month project in which I created all of the physical pieces involved. I worked with another designer on this. We iterated frequently.
Laser-etched graduation plaque
Because a piece of paper wouldn’t be as impactful or special. I laser etched this text onto black acrylic and filled the etching with white ink.
Fruit packaging
Designs I translated from Figma to be stickers cut on a Cricut. This was created for an in-store photoshoot.

Starbucks CEO gift
I created the interior of the gift box to hold an iPad for a chat-bot another designer created. I adhered book cloth to the interior just as I did the Nike kit on the top of the page.

I recorded the video of the use of the chatbot for an internal shareout. I set up an overhead camera rig and edited the video. It’s purposely blurred.
A notebook prototype
I created this prototype in-house to send to an external vendor. Final prototype on the left; prototype template with measurements on the right.
